Arizona spring weather is perfect for day trips! But with more cars on the road, there is a greater chance of accidents. Paying attention is key. What if you were in an accident? Do you really know what to do next?
1. Remember, safety first!
Take a deep breath. Don't apologize, panic or assume blame. Keep cool!
Make sure all are OK.
Call 911 for seriously injured.
2. Call police
Even a minor accident requires a police report for insurance claims.
This is an official record of the accident.
Do NOT leave the scene of the accident.
Don't assume liability when speaking to officer or parties involved.
Let officials launch their own investigation, as emotional response could be inaccurate.
3. Document the scene
4. Exchange information
6. Call your insurance provider
Be prepared, remain calm, and this will help you navigate a scary situation more effectively!
