GLENDALE, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) -

Phoenix police arrested two people after one of them used a stolen vehicle to try and run down officers early Friday morning, police said.

The incident started about 1:15 a.m. with a report of two men stealing a pickup truck in the area of 18200 N. 45th St., Phoenix police Sgt. Jonathan Howard said.

One man left in the truck in which they arrived while the other drove the stolen truck, Howard said.

Officers found the suspects in a cul-de-sac when the driver of the stolen truck drove at officers, Howard said. Police followed both trucks, and each suspect eventually abandoned their trucks near 65th and Peoria avenues and tried to run.

Both were caught and arrested, Howard said.

No officers were hurt, Howard said.

No other information was available.
