Suns sign center Earl Barron for rest of season

PHOENIX (AP) -- The Phoenix Suns signed center Earl Barron on Friday for the rest of the season.

Barron had two 10-day contracts with the Suns. The 33-year-old center is averaging 1.1 points, 0.8 rebounds and 5.7 minutes in eight games.

Barron also has played 27 games this season for Bakersfield in the NBA Development League, averaging 20.3 points and 10.9 rebounds. He also has played for New York, Miami, Milwaukee, Portland, Golden State and Washington.
