Take your dog to Spring Training to support the Arizona Humane Society

It's the "dog days" of Spring Training.

The Peoria Sports Complex is partnering with the Arizona Humane Society to host Dog Day at the Park on Saturday, March 14.

Baseball fans will be able to enjoy a game with their four-legged family members in the PAW-tio section while supporting a good cause. One-hundred percent of dog admissions will support the Arizona Humane Society.

"Spring Training is just so fun around the Valley, and why shouldn't our pets take part in that?" said Arizona Humane Society spokeswoman Bretta Nelson.

The Waggin' Wheels Mobile Adoptions Vehicle will also be on site with several dogs available for adoption. One lucky dog will be selected to for the "first fetch."

"It's just an interesting twist on a day at the ballpark," said Blake Englert with the Peoria Sports Complex. "What better thing to do than have an opportunity for pets to come out with their owners to watch a ball game?"

Dog tickets are $4 in advance or $5 the day of the game. Human tickets are $8 in advance or $10 at the game.
