Man sought in robbery, shooting at Phoenix 7-Eleven

PHOENIX -- Police are searching for a man who shot a 7-Eleven clerk in the arm in the course of a robbery.
Around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 28, a man entered the convenience store near Seventh Avenue and Indian School Road. Police said he threatened the 32-year-old male clerk with a gun and demanded money, then shot the clerk when the clerk refused.
He then went behind the counter, took money from the register and fled toward Seventh Avenue.
Police said the clerk is recovering.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic man in his 20s, about 5 feet 7 inches tall and 180 pounds, with short brown hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a black sweatshirt and a bandanna over his face, and was armed with a silver semi-automatic handgun.
