CASA GRANDE, Ariz. -- Authorities have identified a man who recently died after being found by train tracks in Casa Grande.

After receiving information from the public, the Pinal County Sheriff's Office identified the man as 18-year-old Nickolas Harris, of Casa Grande, who had been reported missing.

PCSO spokesman Jim Knupp said the Maricopa County Medical Examiner's Office was able to confirm the identity Saturday using dental records.

Harris was pronounced dead at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center on Feb. 21, five days after he was found lying on the ground near train tracks.

Employees from Union Pacific Railroad reported finding Harris beside their tracks near Jimmie Kerr Boulevard and Casa Verde Lane. Investigators say he may have been injured jumping or falling off a train.

The sheriff's office notified Harris' family in person Saturday, according to Knupp.
