Man trapped under cement truck after collision in Phoenix

PHOENIX – A man was trapped under a cement truck following a collision at 75th Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road Friday morning.

The Phoenix Fire Department responded to a collision involving a cement truck and another vehicle shortly before 9:30 a.m.

Capt. Benjamin Santillan said the cement truck was on its side and a man was trapped underneath it. Firefighters quickly extricated him.

Santillan said the man was in critical condition when he was transported to a nearby trauma center.

The Phoenix Police Department is investigating the collision.
