PHOENIX -- Mild weather around the Valley on Thursday will give way to unsettled and rather stormy weather for the weekend.

Friday, we’ll see highs in the upper 70s. But by Sunday, with rain likely, high temperatures may not get out of the 50s Sunday afternoon.

There were a few light showers moving across northern Arizona on Thursday afternoon, but those showers were not a factor in the Valley’s weather picture.

For the weekend, expect weather conditions to change during the day on Saturday.

It will become very windy in northern Arizona and pretty breezy around the Valley. Showers will develop during the daytime hours in the north and, for the Valley, by late afternoon and evening Saturday.

Sunday is still looking like a washout kind of day, with clouds and rain likely throughout the day. Sunday, we’re expecting afternoon temperatures to be in the 50s.

The best rain chances stay in the forecast through Monday morning, and chances for rain will linger into the afternoon. On Monday and Tuesday, we’ll have a slight chance for showers.
