PHOENIX – Police are asking for the public's help to find three suspects wanted in an armed robbery and aggravated assault at a Phoenix park on Jan. 20.

Police said a male and a female were seated in her vehicle in the area of Butler Drive and 15th Avenue at 9:20 p.m. when a man approached and asked them about drugs.

When the victims declined, the male was forcibly removed from the vehicle and pistol-whipped. The suspects also pulled the female from the vehicle and took her cellphone.

All three suspects fled on foot northbound through Royal Palm Park.

One suspect is described as a black male, 30 to 40 years old, 6 feet 3 inches to 6 feet 4 inches tall, with a very thin build, goatee or beard, short black hair, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and carrying a silver handgun.

The second suspect is a black male with a light complexion, a shorter stocky build and short buzzed hair.

The third suspect is a black male, 6 feet tall, with an average build, freckles on his face and a gold tooth on the upper right side, wearing a hooded sweatshirt.

Police have released sketches of two of the suspects.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS or silentwitness.org. A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest.
