PHOENIX -- Morning temperatures in the 40s will warm to a high of about 76 degrees todya in the Valley under mostly sunny skies.

A ridge of high pressure off the west coast will keep temperatures warm and conditions dry and calm across Arizona for today and Friday.

Over the weekend, a storm system moves in from the west and northwest, bringing a chance of rain on Saturday and an even greater chance on Sunday and into Monday in the Valley.  Valley neighborhoods could see up to an inch of rain.

The storm will also bring snow in the high country starting Friday night and Saturday, along with colder temperatures statewide.

Valley high temperatures will drop to the 60s on Saturday and only top out in the upper 50s on Sunday.
