Phoenix weather: Cool morning aheadPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- A mid-afternoon storm dropped through the west Valley on Tuesday and produced some small amounts of measurable rain. Up to 0.2 inch of rain fell. The storm was very short-lived and we expect clear skies the rest of tonight and cool temperatures. On Wednesday morning, some Valley locations will be in the low 40s.
The next several days will see a moderate warming trend with high temperatures returning to the 70s. But another storm system headed our way is expected to produce very unsettled weather Saturday through Monday. It will bring cooler temps, lots of clouds and decent chances for rain Saturday and Sunday. The rain chances could linger until Monday morning.
Highs will be in the low 60s. The current picture also calls for about 0.5 inch of rain at many Valley locations, but it’s too early to lock that into the forecast. For sure, we’re going to see a few showery-type days around Phoenix.
