MESA, Ariz. -- Authorities have identified the driver killed in a crash on U.S. 60 Tuesday morning as a 20-year-old San Tan Valley woman.

Officer Tim Case with the Arizona Department of Public Safety said a vehicle rolled and Rahea M. Herman was ejected and fatally injured.

"Just before 7 a.m. we got reports of a three-vehicle collision involving a rollover with an ejection," Case said. "As we arrived there was a female patient that fire was working on just outside the white rolled over pickup truck."

Deputy Chief Forrest Smith with Mesa Fire and Medical said no other people were treated for injuries.

"Witness statements and the investigation indicate that the rollover vehicle sideswiped another vehicle to the left, causing it to lose control, go to the right, and then that started the roll process," Case said. "It struck another vehicle as it lost control and started to roll. Driver was ejected. The vehicle continued head on into the concrete barrier there."

Case said there was no sign of impairment but it hasn't been ruled out. He didn't know if Herman was wearing a seat belt.

The crash occurred at approximately 7 a.m. in the westbound lanes of the freeway at Greenfield Road.

The U.S. 60 was closed westbound for nearly two hours from the Loop 202 (SuperRedTan Freeway) to Greenfield Road.
