TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) -- The Pima County Sheriff's Department is investigating a non-fatal shooting by a Sahuarita police officer.

According to police, the wounded man suffered injuries that were not life-threatening during a Sunday night stop after officers responded to a domestic violence call involving a suspect with a weapon.

Police said the suspect was stopped by police but turned and rammed an officer's patrol car and then continued to push into the officer's car.

According to police, the officer fired two shots into the windshield of the suspect's vehicle before the suspect backed up, drove off, crashed nearby, and was arrested.

Identities weren't released.
