SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- New Scottsdale restaurant Kale and Clover is giving diners the chance to try out their menu for free. To celebrate opening week, the restaurant will be giving free meals to patrons from today, Feb. 23 until Sunday March 1 between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m.

Kale and Clover’s menu is packed with healthy options, and most of their dishes are vegetarian or vegan and gluten free. Diners can get their servings of superfoods from menu items with kale, quinoa, tofu and fresh juices. Carnivores will also have the option of adding some protein to their dishes.

"When you are working with high-quality ingredients, you don’t want to get in the way of the flavor that is already there," Kale and Clover chef Nick Kennedy said. "You want to let the ingredients speak for themselves."

Kale and Clover will be giving away free meals to the first 30 guests for breakfast, 30 guests for lunch, and the first 40 guests for dinner. There is a limit of one free meal per person for the weekend celebration, up to an $18 value.

The restaurant will be accepting donations for the dining experience, and all proceeds will benefit Amy’s Army, part of the Amy Van Dyken Foundation that supports people with spinal cord injuries.
