PHOENIX, Ariz. – NHRA champion driver Alexis Dejoria joined Scott Pasmore in the kitchen today to talk family, racing and the value of sitting down to a home-cooked meal.

Dejoria says she cooks as much as possible with husband Jesse James when she’s at home.

"We have dinners at home," she said. "Most importantly is that we sit down at the table with our children every night, and we connect. That’s how I was raised, it’s important."

Dejoria was the first woman driver to cover the NHRA quarter mile in under four seconds. She is going to the NHRA races this weekend as the returning champion.
