PHOENIX, Ariz. -- The Junior League of Phoenix is hosting their 78th Annual Rummage Sale, where visitors can find thousands of bargains all in one place at the Arizona Exposition and State Fair Grounds.
The doors open at 8 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 21. The sale closes at noon to restock their shelves, and will reopen from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Morning admission to the sale is $5, and afternoon admission after 1 p.m. is free. All prices will also be 50 percent off during the afternoon session. Parking is $8 all day.
The rummage is packed with over 20 departments of finds, from clothing to houseware and more. The Junior League Rummage is the largest indoor garage sale in Arizona, and the biggest fundraiser for the women’s nonprofit organization.
The sale is expected to raise $100,000 in just one day, and all of the proceeds benefit the Junior League community programs and training opportunities.
"Our focus are is on health and nutrition in the Valley, and providing food access to people who can’t otherwise get healthy food," Junior League director of operations Lara Lennaman said.
In partnership with Fry’s Food Stores and The Desert Cancer Foundation, free mammograms will also be provided for the first 40 uninsured or underinsured women who qualify.
Bargain hunters can kick off their shopping experience early at the Rummage Pre-Sale Party. The Pre-Sale Party provides an exclusive opportunity to shop the Rummage Sale before the general public while enjoying a catered meal, silent auction and more.
