PHOENIX -- The ridge of high pressure bringing us the mild weather this week is beginning to shift westward and weaken.
As it does, a trough of low pressure will dig into Arizona, with a cold front arriving early next week. That’s going to bring us cooler temperatures and a slight chance for showers.
In the meantime, we’ll finish out the week on Friday with partly sunny conditions and highs around 80. High temperatures will drop into the mid-70s for the weekend, but we’ll see an abundance of sunshine. Those temps are still above normal for this time of year.
Monday, with the arrival of a cold front, we may see a few showers around the Valley. However, most of the chances for precipitation will be in northern and eastern Arizona.
Right now, the storm doesn’t look like it will be very moist. However, the complexity of the forecast and uncertainty means we have to keep a close eye on it through the weekend.
