PHOENIX -- Warm temperatures will continue for the Valley for the rest of this week with highs in the low 80s and overnight lows in the 50s. That’s about 10 degrees above normal for this time of year. By the weekend, we’ll see some cooler temperatures statewide.

Another storm for the weekend will pass mainly to the east of Arizona. But it will drag in some cooler air and some clouds. A slight chance for scattered showers in eastern Arizona is also in the forecast. However, we’re not going to see any rain around metro Phoenix.

Early next week, some moisture from the sub-tropics begins to make its way into Arizona from the south. Right now, it doesn’t look like there’s enough moisture to produce any rain around the Valley, but if we do get rain chances, it will be Monday or Tuesday. And if we were to get any rain, it would be very light indeed.

Highs early next week will start off in the mid 70s, a few degrees above average.
