PHOENIX -- Sunny and warm weather can be expected today in the Valley with a high of 78 degrees. Breezy conditions persist in the morning with winds becoming lighter throughout the day.
High pressure building to our west brings a warmup today through Friday with high temperatures in the low 80s under partly cloudy to mostly clear skies. The strong high pressure eventually breaks down over the weekend, leading to slightly cooler but continued dry weather through Sunday.
Temperatures are expected to cool even more early next week and rain is possible Monday.
Until then, afternoon temperatures remain well above average, which would be about 71 degrees for this time of year. Overnight lows are expected to reamin mild in the 40s and 50s.
