TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) -- Authorities are searching for a Pima County inmate who authorities say walked away from a work crew. Pima County Sheriff's Chief Deputy Chris Nanos said Laura Rios disappeared from a Pima Animal Care Center inmate work crew near Tucson on Sunday. According to the Pima County Sheriff's Department, Rios was in custody serving several months for a probation violation in connection with a trafficking of stolen property charge. Detectives with the Sheriff's Department Fugitive Investigative Strike Team will take over the investigation in the search for Rios. Inmate work crews have been working at Pima Animal Care Center since November 2014, assisting with cleaning of the facilities.
