PHOENIX -- A low-pressure system moving east through northern Mexico has spun up some clouds and moisture into Arizona on Sunday.
The afternoon hours featured a few light showers in southern Arizona, including the Tucson area. But rainfall was generally light. No precipitation is forecast for the Valley.
However, we will see a fair amount of high cloudiness tonight. That should make for some mild overnight lows with temps in the 50s to near 60 degrees on Monday morning. Afternoon highs should be in the 80-degree range around the Valley.
After that, a ridge of high pressure will build back into Arizona and we’ll warm right back up. We’re expecting high temperatures in the mid-80s by the middle of the week.
No rain is in the forecast through next weekend. However, we will see a rather weak weather disturbance next weekend bring us come clouds and slightly cooler temps, much as we saw on Sunday.
