PHOENIX, Ariz. – Planning for a lonely Valentine’s Day tomorrow? You don’t need a special someone to have a little fun.
Hula’s Modern Tiki in Central Phoenix is throwing an Anti-Valentine’s bash for singles this Saturday beginning at 3:30 p.m., and the party goes all night long. Hearts and cupids won’t be anywhere in sight at this Singles Awareness Day celebration, welcoming the divorced, dumped or disillusioned.
"We wanted to give people a place to hang out and not be surrounded by all the reminders of love and sweetness, the things that make you depressed when you’re alone," party founder Dana Mule said.
Hula’s Modern Tiki will feature special drinks for the singles celebration, like their Heartbreak Poke and an Anti-Valentine’s Day Anti-Freeze Martini.
Partiers are encouraged to bring a picture of their ex or any past heartbreakers to toss into the outdoor fire pit.
Forget the roses and chocolates and celebrate your independence this Valentine’s Day.
