MESA, Ariz. – The open enrollment deadline to sign up for healthcare is this Sunday, Feb. 15 at 10 p.m., and Good Morning Arizona found help across the Valley for those who need assistance with the process.

Health Insurance Express has helped hundreds of Valley residents understand and purchase affordable healthcare, whether they are an individual, a family, a senior or a business owner.

"There’s a lot of moving parts, and it’s our job to put those in order so they get the best fit and the best value," Health Insurance Express owner Alan Leafman said.

Leafman opened Health Insurance Express in 2013 as more than a place to buy health insurance—he wanted to provide Valley residents with a free and educational resource for the Affordable Care Act and empower Valley residents to live healthier lives and become savvy health care shoppers.

"Most people tend to overpay and purchase coverage that they’re very unlikely to use," Leafman said. "We try to help them narrow it down and zero in on the coverage they need."

Fines for being uninsured in 2014 are $325 per person, and this fee is adjusted by income. The charges will increased every year for failure to register for healthcare, so don’t wait to sign up.

Visit Healthcare.gov for more information and to enroll before the deadline.
