Dead body found on ASU's Tempe campus; Appears to be suicide

TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) -- Authorities say a dead body has been found on Arizona State University's Tempe campus and it appears to be a suicide.

Campus police say the body of a man was spotted Friday morning at the grounds of the Goldwater Center for Science and Engineering near University Drive and McAllister Avenue.

The identity of the man isn't immediately available.

Two years ago, a 21-year-old ASU student jumped to her death from the top of the Goldwater Center.

TEMPE, Ariz. -- Police are investigating after a person was found dead Friday morning on the campus of Arizona State University.

Police said this is a suicide.

The body was discovered near the Barry M. Goldwater Center for Science and Engineering, close to Palm Walk and the Manzanita residence hall.

That is near Rural Road and University Drive.

Several officers were on scene and crime tape was surrounding the area.
