PHOENIX -- A cold front dropped through mainly eastern Arizona today. The result was rather windy conditions in the mountains, breezy conditions in the deserts, and cooler temperatures just about everywhere around the state.
In fact, a few isolated rain and snow showers were reported in eastern Arizona during Wednesday afternoon.
The afternoon high in the Valley was 80 degrees, down a few degrees from the past several days. We’ll stay in that range for Thursday and then start warming up again for the weekend, when we expect highs in the mid-80s.
It’s going to stay rather breezy around the Valley tonight and tomorrow. Though by Thursday afternoon, we should see the winds starting to come down, as the storm that’s in New Mexico now drops farther south into Mexico.
Early next week, another weather disturbance will drop high temps into the low 70s by Monday and Tuesday and bring us a slight chance for showers.
