Home Depot hiring 1,500 in Valley for spring season
By Brad Denny
Home Depot is hiring thousands of new employees nationwide, with 1,500 of those jobs available in the Valley.
The retailer needs to boost its staff for the busy spring season, and that means hiring 80,000 new part-time workers across the country.
College students, retirees and veterans are strongly encouraged to apply, and hardware/home improvement experience is not necessary.
"We're looking for retail skills, and really good customer friendly type of associates," said Kelly Clark, a supervisor at a Valley store. "We actually do a lot of web based training, so if you don't feel comfortable in hardware or plumbing or garden, we provide that training for you."
The new recruits will work in 33 different Valley stores. Interested people can apply at career.homedepot.com.
