PHOENIX (AP) -- Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey is set to deliver the keynote speech at an anti-abortion group's annual "Day at the Capitol" event.
Ducey is set to speak to hundreds of supporters of the Center for Arizona Policy Wednesday morning. The center's president, Cathi Herrod, was an early backer of Ducey in his run for governor.
The center is a powerful lobbying group at the Capitol and has championed anti-abortion, school choice and religious freedom bills like year's Senate Bill 1062. The group is pushing voucher bills, expanded tax credits for donations to private schools and a bill blocking health insurance policies from covering abortions this year.
Eight Republican lawmakers are also set to speak at the daylong event.
