PHOENIX – Phoenix police are trying to determine who used a tow truck to steal a vehicle from a used car dealership last month.

Police said two tow trucks entered the property of the 101 Auto Outlet at 19th Avenue and Rose Garden Lane at around 9:15 p.m. on Jan. 21.

One was a dark possibly Ford tow truck with a hydraulic arm stinger lift. The other tow truck was possibly a Ford and had a Jerr-Dan type flatbed.

The truck with the arm stinger lift removed a 2007 silver Volkswagen GTI from the car lot.

The Phoenix Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying the owners of the tow trucks and those people who may be associated with them.

Anyone with information is asked to call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS. Any caller may remain anonymous and could receive a reward of up to $1,000.
