CASA GRANDE, Ariz. -- A Goodyear man received only minor injuries after the milk truck he was driving rolled over near Casa Grande Saturday afternoon.

According to the Pinal County Sheriff's Office, a commercial vehicle belonging to Arizona Milk Transport was filled with milk for a delivery when it rolled over on Montgomery Road south of Highway 84. The driver was pinned inside the cab.

Firefighters extricated Daryoush Kaldani, 44, from the vehicle and he was flown to Chandler Regional Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Sheriff Paul Babeu said Kaldani told investigators that he was having steering problems, which caused the vehicle to go off the roadway to the right. When his tires went into a ditch with a steep grade, it caused the vehicle to roll over.

"Thankfully, he was able to get his vehicle to the right and not into oncoming traffic," Babeu said in a news release. "As a result, the injuries were minor."

The crash is still under investigation, but investigators said driver impairment does not appear to be a factor.
