Camp Kroc offers affordable, fun spring break activitiesPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX, Ariz. -- Spring break is just a month away, and that means it’s time to make some plans to keep the kids busy and entertained.
The Salvation Army’s Camp Kroc at 14th Street and Broadway offers a fun, action-packed and safe day camp experience for children of all ages. The camp runs from March 16 through March 20, open from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m.
Camp Kroc is an affordable spring break activity, packed with activities for children ages 5 to 12 to keep campers busy while their parents are at work for about $20 a day.
Activities at the camp include swimming, various sports, arts and crafts, and even a rock climbing wall. The center has a game room with TVs and a ping pong table, as well as computer labs and a library.
Camp Kroc keeps adventurers fueled with breakfast and lunch included in the cost of the camp. The camp is offering more sports and camp programs year-round, and the spring break camp is a great way to try Camp Kroc out to see if it is the right fit for summer camp too.
"Parents, many of whom need to work during the spring intercession, need a safe, exciting place for their kids to spend Spring Break,” Chief Administrator of The Salvation Army Kroc Center Major Mike Dickinson said. "We provide swimming, crafts, indoor and outdoor games to excite the kids, but we also use the March break as an opportunity to demonstrate to parents our ability to deliver excellent summer day camp services."
Spots are limited for Camp Kroc, so be sure to sign up for the fun before it’s too late.
