PHOENIX -- Monday will bring a sunny and warm day in the Valley with an afternoon high of 84 degrees.
Today's forecast high of 84 degrees would tie the record high for today's date set back in 1987. It will likely be the warmest day this week, although high pressure will keep temperatures unseasonably warm for much of the week ahead.
A low pressure system will bring a chance for light rain to eastern Arizona Wednesday and Thursday, but the rest of the state should stay dry this week. High clouds and breezy to locally windy conditions are expected in the Valley Thursday, and unsettled weather could return by next Sunday and Monday.
