PHOENIX -- Look for a mostly sunny and warm day in the Valley with an afternoon high of 83 degrees. That's a full 14 degrees above average for this time of year and just 4 degrees away from today's record high of 87 degrees.
Strong high pressure continues the dry and unseasonably warm conditions for the Southwest. Low pressure and abundant moisture affects the Northwest, but high pressure is forecast to stay locked over our area until the middle of next week. Temperatures will hover in the low 80s through next Tuesday, with near-record highs peaking near 84 degrees on Monday.
Gradual cooling is forecast after Monday of next week, along with the potential for unsettled weather, including possible rain on Thursday and Friday.
