PHOENIX -- A ridge of high pressure will build into the western third of the country, bringing Arizona a significant warming trend this week. By the end of the week, we’re looking at highs in the upper 70s. There’s no sign of rain or snow in Arizona this week, which is quite a contrast to last week.

There was a little bit of fog around on Monday morning along with chilly temperatures. Tuesday we expect temps once again to be in the 40s at most Valley locations.

January 2015 in Phoenix will go down as the 7th warmest on record. Those records go back to 1895. The average high was 69 degrees and the average low was 48 degrees. Sky Harbor recorded .81 inch of rain. That’s below the average for January's .91 inch.
