PHOENIX (AP) -- Arizona State Lottery has a new leader.

Gov. Doug Ducey announced Friday his appointment of former NFL player Tony Bouie as director of the State Lottery.

Bouie previously was chief operating officer for Parkinson Wellness Recovery. He also worked as a director of a consumer services company and a strategic consultant.

Bouie played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 1995 to 1999.

Ducey says Bouie brings a strong history of fulfilling leadership roles and has successfully overseen corporations.
