PAGE, Ariz. (AP) -- Rainbow Bridge National Monument in southern Utah is open to the public again.

The monument near the Arizona-Utah line was closed Jan. 5 so the flooding-damaged trail from Lake Powell could be repaired. It was scheduled to be closed until Feb. 15.

Superintendent Todd Brindle says Loven Contracting of Flagstaff completed the work ahead of schedule, allowing the monument to be reopened Friday.

The monument is located in far southern Utah in the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, which stretches into northern Arizona.
