PHOENIX, Ariz. -- Everyone is getting in on the Super Bowl action this weekend – including Subway, the official "training restaurant" for both teams facing off on Sunday.

Super Bowl Sunday is packed with delicious and not-so-healthy snacks, but Subway spokesperson Jared Fogle — or perhaps better known as just Jared the Subway guy — says the big game doesn’t have to mean an even bigger waistline.

"A lot of people who have New Year’s resolutions can fall off the wagon on Super Bowl Subway," Jared said. "Do things in moderation. You can get party platters from Subway. You can have some of the other food too, it’s nice to have an assortment of things so your guests and family can enjoy it, but do it in moderation."

Jared’s weight loss story has been a well-known testament to healthy living since 1998. He weighed over 425 pounds before he decided to eat Subway for two meals a day. Subway’s low-fat options are still a staple in his diet, as well as the diets of Seahawks and Patriots players to gear up for the big game.
