LUBBOCK, Tex. -- Two sisters traveled hundreds of miles back to their childhood home after a call from the current owners.

During an attic clean-up, the owners found a box of love letters, and they knew the box had to be returned to the family that left it behind.

It all started because of a blocked dryer vent last December. Upon investigation, Andy and Jessica Gree found a box containing a time capsule to World War II—yellowed envelopes and a tucked away love story.

The letters are from Dale Simpson's U.S. Navy boat overseas to Virginia Sims, dating as far back as 1942. The relationship weaved through 828 letters.

Jessica tracked down the Simpsons' daughters online.

What followed was an emotional stroll down memory lane.
