PHOENIX -- A Phoenix woman was arrested on multiple felony charges Friday night for allegedly sexually abusing children and creating child pornography.

Detectives from the Arizona Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested 26-year-old Roxanne Chapin at her north Phoenix home and rescued two children, ages 3 and 6.

Detectives began investigating after they intercepted photos of a toddler being sexually abused by a woman. The investigation led them to a home near 23rd Avenue and Beardsley Road, where they believed children were still being sexually abused.

Chapin reportedly admitted to molesting the two children, and taking and distributing photos of the abuse.

Detectives served a search warrant on the home and reportedly found additional images involving the two children being victimized. Chapin was also allegedly in possession of pornography involving other children.

She was booked into the Maricopa County Jail on one count of child molestation, two counts of sexual conduct with a minor and 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.

Police said she could face additional charges as the investigation continues.
