Police find 2 women dead, man injured at Prescott home

PRESCOTT, Ariz. -- Police found two women dead and a man seriously injured inside a Prescott home Friday morning.

Police were called to the home in the 5400 block of Side Road around 11:30 a.m. after 75-year-old Anita Wells did not show up to meet a relative.

Anita Wells and the other woman, whose name has not been released, were pronounced dead on scene.

The man was flown to Flagstaff Medical Center in serious condition. His name has not been released.

Police say they want to speak to Anita Wells' 51-year-old son, Jerry Lee Wells. They have not said whether he is a suspect in the case.

Jerry Wells is white, 5 feet 9 inches tall, 185 pounds, and has brown or hazel eyes. He may be driving a 1996 red Mazda pickup truck with a tan-colored camper shell and an Arizona license plate.

Police have not said how the women were killed. They also have not commented on the man's injuries beyond his condition.
