Scottsdale police searching for bank robbery suspect

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – Scottsdale police are searching for a bank robbery suspect.

The robbery occurred at the Chase Bank at 8200 E. Via Paseo Del Norte around 5:15 p.m. Thursday.

Police said the suspect entered the bank and gave the teller a handwritten note demanding cash. No weapon was displayed.

The teller gave the suspect an unknown amount of cash and he left the bank on foot. It is unknown if the suspect escaped in a vehicle.

The suspect was described as a white male in his 30s, 6 feet tall, 180 to 190 pounds, with scruffy facial hair and longer, straight brown hair. He was wearing a black baseball cap, black rimmed eyeglasses, a black polo-type shirt, gray shorts and white sneakers.
