PHOENIX (AP) -- Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport ranked third among the nation's airports for the most firearms confiscated last year by the Transportation Security Administration.

That's according to a report released Friday by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

TSA officials say 78 guns were found in carry-on bags at Sky Harbor in 2014.

Dallas/Fort Worth International airport led the nation with 120 firearms confiscated last year followed by Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International with 109.

Last year, TSA screened about 1.8 million passengers per day for a total of about 653 million. That's about a 2.3 percent increase from 2013.
