PHOENIX, Ariz. -- A lucky theater class at Bennett Academy got quite the surprise this morning when Field of Dreams actor Dwier Brown visited their class.

The students watched the movie and discussed it in their theater class. Field of Dreams is celebrating its 25 year anniversary this year, and actor Brown is currently on a national tour for the anniversary as well as the release of his new book, “If You Build It...: A book about Fathers, Fate and Field of Dreams.”

Dwier has been a wonderful support for theater students at Bennett Academy, theater teacher Jim Hyte said. Dwier sent autographed pictures and personal letters to all of the kids in the program to show his support and gratitude for using the movie in their theater curriculum.

The kids are working on a project called "Go the Distance" where they study emotion in scripts and how that translates onto the screen. All of their assignments have social relevance, and this movie is a big part of that.
