SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – Scottsdale police are asking for the public's help in identifying two people who may have been involved in a jewelry store robbery.

Police said two black men in their 20s robbed the Robert C. Wesley Jeweler-Gemologist store on Fifth Avenue east of Goldwater Boulevard on Jan. 16.

Police said one of the suspects was armed with a handgun and the other had a hammer. The armed men ordered the two employees to the floor and then smashed several display cases and took merchandise.

The suspects fled in a dark Chevy Malibu or Impala.

The store's security cameras were not working at the time of the robbery.

Police are attempting to identify two people in surveillance video from another store (see above video). Detectives would like to interview the individuals regarding their possible involvement in the jewelry store robbery.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Scottsdale Police Department at 480-312-5000.
