Woman, child hit by car in Phoenix

PHOENIX -- A woman and a child sustained minor injuries after being hit by a vehicle Monday morning in Phoenix.

The Phoenix Fire Department responded to a report of a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian around 11 a.m.

A woman and a baby who was in a stroller were struck by a vehicle near Thomas Road and 28th Street, according to Capt. Benjamin Santillan.

The mother and child were in stable condition when they were transported to a nearby hospital.

Phoenix police are investigating the collision.
