FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) -- A Flagstaff man accused of murdering another man and then dumping his body on the side of a road will spend the rest of his life behind bars.

The Arizona Daily Sun reported Friday that 51-year-old Marvin Curley was sentenced in Coconino County Superior Court to life in prison with no chance of parole.

Curley, who was sentenced Tuesday, pleaded guilty in November to one count of first-degree murder in the death of 56-year-old David Allen Christine.

According to court documents, both resided at the same homeless shelter and had gone out drinking the night before Christine's body was found in May 2014.

Curley admitted to detectives he strangled Christine with bailing wire. Investigators say Christine and Curley's nephew had had a falling out a year earlier.
