PHOENIX -- High pressure in the upper atmosphere in the West continues to bring lots of sunshine and warm weather to Arizona.
Through the weekend around the Valley, we’re expecting highs in the mid to upper 70s. Those warm temps will hold into the early stages of next week.
The next change in our weather looks to be on tap for late next week, when a trough of low pressure will begin to move our way.
At this point, the low looks like it will bring us clouds and cooler temperatures, but not much in the way of rain or snow. And even with the cooler air mass, temperatures will probably still be running above average.
It’s still pretty early to make any kind of a definitive forecast for Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 1. But early trends of the long-range models seem to indicate dry and warm weather can be expected for much of the week leading up to the big game.
