CHANDLER – Authorities are searching for a man believed to be involved in three Valley bank robberies.

The suspect has worn a facial disguise in all three robberies.

According to law enforcement officials, a man wearing dark sunglasses, a fake beard and a gray baseball hat entered the Chase Bank at 2915 E. Riggs Road in Chandler just before 6 p.m. on Jan. 13.  He also had on clear latex gloves and was holding a black handgun.

The suspect approached the teller counter and verbally demanded money from the employees. The teller gave the suspect a known quantity of cash and he fled the bank.

The suspect is described as a white male, 35 to 45 years old, 5 feet 10 inches to 5 feet 11 inches tall and about 200 pounds.

Investigators believe this suspect is responsible for two previous bank robberies that occurred at the Chase Bank located at 8490 S. Power Road in Gilbert on Nov. 17 and Dec. 18.

Authorities said a man was wearing a black baseball hat, black sunglasses, a fake beard and nose, and clear plastic gloves when he entered the bank at about 3:15 p.m. on Dec. 18 and demanded money from four tellers.

The tellers placed cash on the counter and the suspect moved a black bag over the currency, stating that he had a metal detector. The suspect reportedly indicated that he was communicating with an accomplice outside the bank. He then placed the money in his bag and fled the bank.

In the Nov. 17 robbery at the same bank, the suspect was wearing a tan baseball hat, black sunglasses, a dark brown fake beard and clear plastic gloves when he entered around 3:15 p.m. He was carrying a black handheld metal detector with "GARRETT" printed in yellow on it.

While receiving money from a teller, the suspect removed a black wand, which he stated would detect dye packs and waved it over the currency. The cash was placed in a large brown bag with purple handles. The suspect then fled the bank.
