PHOENIX -- A pretty stable weather pattern is setting up over the desert Southwest. That should result in quiet and warm weather through the weekend into the middle of next week.
Highs this weekend in the Valley will be running in the mid-70s.
By the middle of next week, we’re looking at some cooler temperatures as the ridge of high pressure bringing us this nice weather breaks down and weakens. It will be replaced by a low-pressure system that will cool us off.
Right now, it doesn’t look like it will be a significant weather maker for our state, just bringing clouds, cooler temps and a few isolated rain and snow showers in the mountains.
The longer range view also indicates Super Bowl weekend around the Valley is looking pretty good. At this point, we’re talking lots of sunshine and highs around 70 degrees.
