FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) -- A man has been sentenced to natural life in prison after pleading guilty in the killing of a man whose body was found on a roadside between Flagstaff and the community of Leupp last May.
Judge Mark Moran of Coconino County Superior Court sentenced 51-year-old Marvin Curley after he pleaded guilty Tuesday to first-degree murder in the death of 56-year-old David A. Christine of Flagstaff.
Investigators said Curley fatally choked Christine with a wire and then took the body to the roadside location.
A passing motorist saw Christine's body and called authorities.
