PHOENIX (AP) -- A Phoenix man is accused of trying to kill his brother by stabbing him several times outside their mother's home.
Phoenix police say 50-year-old James Charles Herrera is being held on suspicion of attempted murder, aggravated assault resulting in serious physical injury and aggravated assaulted with a deadly weapon.
Herrera's bond was set at $150,000 Wednesday. He doesn't have a lawyer yet.
Police say they found Herrera's brother conscious and covered in blood about 7 a.m. Tuesday.
The victim told police he was leaving his home to go to work when he saw someone outside his mother's home.
He says he didn't know at first that the person was Herrera because it was still dark outside.
The brothers argued before their mother came outside and broke up the altercation.
